Is it the future to be said?

Yesterday when I went to buy some grocery I was dazed to see some panoramas. It was not the first time I have seen something like such, but yes I was smacked by it for the very first time that I spent hours thinking about why it exists and its other consequences. I saw some children selling grocery with their parents in the market. They were quite proficient in their work they are doing. They know the exact weighs and rates. If you ask them how many potatoes weighs in a kilo they will give you the exact counting. But is it kind of future of our society? Don’t they need a uniform white shirts and blue pants with colored batches doing their morning prayer in queues “hum ko mann ki shakti dena””and going for their classes where they learn new chapters, lessons and subjects every hour. Eating lunch from their florescent color tiffin boxes and playing with their mates? The anxiety of semester exams and long waits for the results. Eagerly waiting for summer vacations, preparing projects and competing with other class mates to get golden star on their calendar. People who are reading this know that we all went through more or less same fun life, “school life”. They might be enjoying this now but few years later more definite they are going to regret. Today they don’t have the liability to take decision for themselves because they don’t know any other sort of life. But who to be blamed for this, their parents? Who indulge their wards in their day to day work? They are doing the same which happened to them, and today’s children who are selling grocery will involve their children tomorrow and will always continue, its kind of family myth. Or our education system which has failed again and again installing that education is for everyone and its every ones rights to get educated. They may not be able to get convent education but at least they can have the foundation.
I don’t even know what shall be steps that could be taken for this bizzare. There are so many other issues adjacent with this picture. Rights to education, child labour or may be more.
Suggestions are most welcome. If I can do even little bit in changing a life I see myself more than honored.

what a shame

Why the existing laws in India are inadequate for the issues like child abuse were perpetrator are the close relatives of this viciousness. Is two year jail and compensation of Rs.25000 is enough to be called “justice”? Don’t we need a special law or legislation in country to deal with such cases? Is it least priority in political agenda though there is seen an immense increase in these cases.

If statistics are to be believed then every one out of five boys and one out of four girls are abused before they reach 18 years of age. In overall population of children 53% of them are sexually abused. Such cases have taken a massive increase in recent years (courtesy TOI). Still we have failed in achieving adequate law in country after 64 years of independence.
Do we again have to congregate at jantar mantar and start hunger protest against the scenario? If it’s the only language known to change the system then we would never mind to walk in “Gandhian” way. Do we.

Three cheers for team INDIA !!

HIP HIP HURRAY !!!

HIP HIP HURRAY !!!

HIP HIP HURRAY !!!

At last team India won the world cup they are the new champs. Finally we can say bye to ’83 videos and can see new 2011 videos where the captain holds the cups. In my life it was first time ever where I saw such a celebration nation wide, we have seen so many celebrations but nothing like the 2nd April 2011. It was night long celebration people screaming all over and cheering INDIA INDIA INDIA wow what a night. People stuck in traffic jams for hours at 1 am they were still happy shouting dancing and yelling “we are the part of the jam, we are happy”, can you ever imagine that in Delhi? People here are so annoyed by the traffic jams daily it’s the hardest part of life here but still they were in a mood, mood to breathe the victory, nothing could have stopped them. Well done dhoni’s team after all it was much awaited treat for the nation. And not only in India but all over the world it became a huge party Indians leaving in abroad were celebrating it too. It was a pride.
This time I couldn’t make it but hope next time I can bye a ticket to the finals and can cheer my team fluttering the tricolor and see the team taking their victory lap. As this time enjoyed the whole match on television but next time I want to be the part of the crowd screeching “jeetega bhai jeetaga, india hi jeetega” but as it said saving best for the last I can say it for me this time.
The celebration will continue till the next world cup, this victory has been able to erase the nightmares of 2003 finals and I wish many more such victories to come.
