what a shame

Why the existing laws in India are inadequate for the issues like child abuse were perpetrator are the close relatives of this viciousness. Is two year jail and compensation of Rs.25000 is enough to be called “justice”? Don’t we need a special law or legislation in country to deal with such cases? Is it least priority in political agenda though there is seen an immense increase in these cases.

If statistics are to be believed then every one out of five boys and one out of four girls are abused before they reach 18 years of age. In overall population of children 53% of them are sexually abused. Such cases have taken a massive increase in recent years (courtesy TOI). Still we have failed in achieving adequate law in country after 64 years of independence.
Do we again have to congregate at jantar mantar and start hunger protest against the scenario? If it’s the only language known to change the system then we would never mind to walk in “Gandhian” way. Do we.
