Toh kaise kahe “Saare Jahaan Se Achcha Hindustaan Humara

With all the post I see today carries a message “HAPPY Independence Day”, but should we be really Happy about our Independence today? With a population of 1.5 billion people not to forget the poor public services, illiteracy, a million of corrupt politicians and bureaucrats, zillion rupees swiped in scams and of course the corrupt employment system here. Today the households are not even left capable to buy few kgs of onion to cook! Apart from development everything in our country is witnessing a rise today may it be the petrol prices, unemployment, poverty or the corruption. I surely would need a reason to celebrate which I guess, I don’t have at the moment.

rain over me

“The moment I thought, the sky is clear. The dark clouds came and poured rain over me.”

Sometimes even the heart wants to see the clear sky but the grey memoirs come and dispense ghastly jiffies.

Sight Lifeafter

An odd thing happens when someone die, the senses of human being vanish. Taste, Touch, Smell and Sound become distant memory but the Sight expands and one can certainly see world as left behind so clearly. Of course most of which is visible to dead could also be seen by the living being only if they get time to look.

We could also see a friend how unhappy they are, only if we try to look inside but we only see their Swiss watch or their latest iPhone they make calls from or the new Swarovski Bracelet. And sometimes we miss to see a friend’s sinking life and they might be desperately looking for a life.

Bangla Bhasha Dibosh

While living we all eventually become part of some movement. Movements for freedom, social issues and corruption and so many and why I can write this, is because I, myself have been part of a few. But while reading a brief history about 21st February, I was amazed to see that we had movements for language too, quite unexpected. So I carried on my reading and then found few facts.
1948 was the year when a movement started, it took 8 years for the students from the university and widespread civilians to restore a language. Students were killed and beaten and years later it came up as “Language Movement” first ever of its kind. Since then 21st February is celebrated as “Bangla Language Day” later adding to which UNESCO in year 1999 declared the same date to celebrate “International Mother Language Day”.
It was first ever when students and civilian got themselves involved in a movement which was for restoring a language. Today I celebrate my language “AMAR BANGLA”.

Somethings Still Matter.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear,an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring. All of which have the greatest potential to turn a life around..

In My City

In My City by Priyanka Chopra is one of the most underdone music video I browsed recently. Being a very much “inspired” craft (where I didn’t find lyrics to glue me or replay it), and the treatment of the video is much like Madona, JLo, Natasha or Keisha numbers which we have been seeing from ages. Secondly, now when we have started appreciating an entire film based on “dance”, the choreography is again is an anti appealing jot in the video.
PS- grabbing an international rapper (will.i.am) is not enough to earn appreciations. Very mediocre watch. !!

Why Rumors Has It ?

If rumors are to be believe, then with my few interactions during past few weeks has let me to cover myself in a hard shell, so that no one could ever get to me. At the time when we hear and read many of the rape cases (the rage started after “Nirbhaya” which has prompted anguish mind in the society today) still urge me to think are the women who enjoys top positions are safe enough?

Now you would think I am talking nonsense, and believe me I was thinking, before writing my thoughts here. We all talk about women physical security. We think, is it safe for a woman to drive after 2200 hours? Is it ok to go for a girl to take up night shifts, will she be able to commute alone in the city and so on until I recently discover that though the women who possesses a lavish lifestyle and are quite equipped to pay for their own security are not secure enough. We have a disabled mind society which cannot gulp women successes. We talk about Women Liberalization with a wine glass in hand, but it does not support the thought. And the reason is “The Rumors”. What about the indecent comments and rumors which we come across? Shouldn’t we do something to stop those?

Why every successful woman is labeled “lesbian”? (I don’t find any clue to this) just because they are not married till late thirties or early forties! I heard it first about well known Indian woman journalist years back, and I didn’t believed it then and now I heard the same about a television producer and an actress. Why can’t we handle their successes? Why we are trending toward spreading such non sense rumors? And even if they are then why can’t we accept it. It’s their sexuality and let them have what they want, why other people are even bothered. For God sakes don’t judge people with their sexual orientations. And definitely stop spreading such non sense filthy rumors.

Where Are The Ladies

Ranbir's performance in 19th colors screen award

With the recent rage in our country today, we all have started talking about giving equal rights to woman in the nation. We all are swearing hard enough while holding each others hand, believing that some day we will give the generations to come a nation where they will not have to worry about what gender they have.

Last night after I went home from long day work all I wanted to do was to lay back and watch some good entertainment, and so I switch the remote to colors and started watching 19th colors screen awards. With my long lived dream of making some entertainment for the audience, I notice a huge a distance which the television industry has came over in recent years. Even the difference is visible in their award functions. There were number of performances where sometimes I laughed and sometimes I thought it was needed to be revised a several time but one time  had a “jaw-dropped” reaction. That was when Ranbir kapoor paid tribute to his family who has been an integral part of Hindi Film Industry from more then six decades now. But I was very surprised to see that none of the ladies from the family was given much importance to have their portrait displayed next to the men of the family. Though Neetu Singh was seen shaking leg with her son but there was no Babita who was one of her kind at her time in Film Industry. And never to forget his cousins one of whom is considered to the finest actress in the nation today. As they are married now so should they be considered out of the family?

I found the entire performance very hypocrite as it was all about the men in the family. If a family is considered to be “the first family” of the Hindi Film Industry then I guess they have ample of things to learn about dignifying there Women first.

A woman's purse

A woman's purse always carries the nature of its lady, either she intent it or not. She carries things which makes her complete either its the shade of the lipstick she wears most of the days or the novel she reads when she is travelling in the city. The novel might be romantic or a thriller depending on the mood she carries in her life. She carries her favorite pen using which she signed her first cheque to pay her rent and even a filer with which she sharpens and shapes her nail everyday imagining to shape her life to the perfect. but very few people know that the same woman also carries secrets in her purse. Secrets which she cunningly hides in one of the pockets, believing no one will find it ever...yes every purse has the nature of the lady it belongs to.

I tried, I cared...now I am scared

Later sometime when I was talking to someone about how confident I have grown up as a lady in today’s world, my confidence shatters at every stage when I realize the fact of living in the capital of “Biggest Democratic” state. Even after, there have been a rage in the society that churned many discussions (much forgotten) but I do not see the change in the society from any where.
PS- I sincerely hope the women in the society not be treated as meat loaf kept in front of the hungry foxes to gratify lust. Women have souls too, stop ripping it!
