Napoleon Bonaparte's love letters

Love most undefined emotion, so I picked it as my flavor of writing this season. Yes it’s all going to be Love, Love and only Love here. With so many true lovers in this world I will share few of the most romantic love letters with you all from the past and the present and to make all of us feel how love exist around us. To begin with I am here attaching “Nepolean’s” love letters to Josephine. When he was mile away during wars but his love for Josephine remained anchored to his heart. It is believed that he wrote about 75000 letter before and after their marriage. His tender loving and emotional letters can articulate that even being such a leader in battle ground and military mind he was prolific letter writer and a passionate lover.

Days after Napoleon and Josephine were married. Napoleon left to command the French army near Italy. Throughout the following months, he begged her to join him in Milan for their honeymoon. This letter is one from the series.

April 1796:

I have your letters of the 16th and 21st. There are many days when you don’t write. What do you do, then? No, my darling, I am not jealous, but sometimes worried. Come soon; I warn you, if you delay, you will find me ill. Fatigue and your absence are too much.
Your letters are the joy of my days, and my days of happiness are not many. Junot is bringing twenty-two flags to Paris.
You must come back with him, you understand? — hopeless sorrow, inconsolable misery, sadness without end, if I am so unhappy as to see him return alone. Adorable friend, he will see you, he will breathe in your temple; perhaps you will even grant him the unique and perfect favor of kissing your cheek, and I shall be alone and far, far away. But you are coming, aren’t you? You are going to be here beside me, in my arms, on my breast, on my mouth? Take wing and come, come!
A kiss on your heart, and one much lower down, much lower!
Bonaparte
